The Facilities Manager reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and Clubhouse Manager.

Established in 1922, Marine Drive Golf Club has consistently been a leading member in the British Columbian golf community. Located at the corner of SW Marine Drive & 57th Ave. W near the Kerrisdale & Southlands neighbourhoods, this historical club blends the graceful beauty of the past with contemporary facilities.

The position is responsible for performing and overseeing the maintenance work required to the clubhouse and buildings on Marine Drive Golf Club's property. This will include equipment inside the clubhouse to ensure that everything is in presentable and working order. This will include overseeing contractors on routine maintenance and working with the Chief Operating Officer on clubhouse renovations. This position is expected to work 40 to 45 hours per week.

Essential job functions:

  • Coordinate with contractors when they are on property to ensure all routine/annual service is completed at the clubhouse and facilities.
  • Identify and take necessary action when there is an issue requiring immediate attention and/or contractor work.
  • Daily walk-through of the entire clubhouse documenting any problems, damage or deficiencies to the facility, equipment and furniture in a Maintenance Log. Will work with the COO and Clubhouse Manager to determine the priorities of such projects.
  • Will work with the COO and Clubhouse Manager in the development and upkeep of a Clubhouse & Buildings Master Plan.
  • Oversees clubhouse upkeep including:
  • Painting: inside touch-ups, outside railings and touch-ups around the property.
  • Power washing: the outside of the clubhouse building, cart paths/sidewalk around the clubhouse, receiving area, patio, patio furniture, pull cart storage area.
  • Clubhouse cleanliness: Including overseeing the housekeeping staff to ensure proper cleaning procedures are being followed.
  • Winterizing the clubhouse equipment when the season dictates.
  • Plumbing, electrical and HVAC needs in the clubhouse.
  • All Housekeeping and Maintenance staff will report to the Facilities Manager.
  • Assist all departments of the Club when needed.
